The client was Mathieu Michaud, a Canadian chemical engineer with a vacation home located in Miami, Florida. Mathieu has a vast fascination for mid-century modern furniture aesthetics. The mission was to renovate his kitchen into an open mid-century modern design with hints of art deco splashed in between. The kitchen overlooks the pool, and thus a large sliding door mechanism was incorporated to serve as the viewing window into the outside.
